Joining the Sanctuary?

Post by Kevins » Sun Feb 16, 2020 11:48 am

There is a page with the rules and an introduction on the main website here:
https://www.spirit.org.nz/sanctuary-rules/

Or please read the introduction below:

The members transformation journey. Reading time, 7 minutes.

We have been a public, open forum and reached a certain level of energy. We have always been a group of like minded souls brought together to seek a spiritual path; save the world! and help other seekers everywhere. Our path was a portal for universality without specific religion or a specified cause. Change for us was regular. But what we thought was a core, forever plan, became an echo. It is the reality of spiritual journeys, that change can be subtle or a massive experience. I've been through this twice and seen it elsewhere too. And it's not necessarily a bad thing. It's definitely a human experience.

Many years after the first forum started, the group began to change. The forum became regarded as 'a serious centre of spirituality' like a backbone if it was needed, a nice catch-all phrase, as members drifted out and renewals were less frequent. It was reconfigured by the very members it served. The energy and vitality that it once possessed began to wane when a second forum run independently for a subset of it's energetic team, forming away from the core and bringing other regular members to this new entity. The best and brightest members—the independent-minded, the critical thinkers—all left, unaware. None of us, including the new group, factored human nature and change. It left only those whose loyalty stemmed from habit, blind faith as to its cause, and a desire to carry on it's spiritual and healing services. It is the way it is. This is freedom of choice. There is no wrong here.

However, unlike religions or other corporate like entities, we don't have 100 years to wait full circle. In some causes, it takes decades to swing around. We, individually, won't be here and the entire spiritual, new age, religious world is seriously going underground. It has been there before. So the answers can not be lineated by years. The answer is something else. And we're hardly prepared for that 'something else.' At least, not yet.

We're going more and more undercover within Our human communities. Once underground, we're letting individuals determine their own path by it's own freewill. We can put activities in the spotlight, you can put activities in the spotlight. But it's up to each individual whether those activities will be taken up. If not, we move on very quickly. This is the current nature adopted and how any sanctuary will survive.

For the past few months, I’ve been participating in a series of life changes forced by external parties (e.g. bank, insurance, employment, family.) As there's no coincidence, the purpose seems to be to seperate life to allow for a new journey. I don't exactly feel like I fit in to the whole of society but do want to be of help to others and there's a lot of journey to come (for most of us.) So just what is the underground rationality hitting us full on?

Undercover Rationality.

“Why,” you may ask, “would I remain a member of a group that I feel is going underground? Why would I sign up time to care for, or be part of visionary activities when it seems those activities will be away from history, being remembered, noted in public? Surely todays' world is all about badges and awards. But yes, there are good reasons.

Retention of human value, care for this world, freedom of expression, and hope for a better world future all play a part. Do you think the templar knights died out or exist underground? What about the holders of the original Silver Challice, true magic, the protectors of various martyr's true burial locations, or the Catholic' Churches protected store of books and documents. Some 'values' go beyond the need of this human world's eyes. What about deeply esoteric knowledge. Where are the protective archives to restore humanity in a post-secular world (and yes, I know one true esoteric group who I have no doubt are doing exactly this. My regards to the protectors of the 'GV.' Being underground is part of how spirituality and cause are protected.

We don't need followers.

Followers who conform utterly, adopting ideology and culture is no way forward for any individual. That is a societial demand and we are not a society. Christ didn't ask for 'followers,' he asked for us to embrace spirituality as individuals and connect to the God Consciousness. He demonstrated healing and spiritual communication to 'the father' and asked us to follow just this. This is a democratic, fair and mindful community made of individuals coming together to share activities and their journey.

The Identity Problem

Decay of groups starts from its beginnings when we first give names to activities. This becomes a society brand, an identity. When universality becomes specified into systems, it leads to conflict and division. It's how groups loose meaning and settle towards more inward focussed activities. Semantics. Rigidity.

A group that encapsulates universality will survive the human identity problem and rationalise purpose.

Individuality as a solution

Individuality is not quite what most understand. In this human world, we are individual but expected to conform in almost every aspect. It is in reality, adopting a pathless path (read up on Krishnamurti.) No one sanctuary or group can truly capture the whole reality of a true path which is why the mantle passes through individuals and groups.

This sanctuary has to be about letting you develop your own creed, rules, walk. And it must embrance one ultimate rule to allow that: Do whatsoever is right, for you, so long as you do not make of yourself, or others, a victim (sp. Rewrite appreciated.)

The future of the 'Sanctuary' and its members is an open book that will find the estoteric balance needed so it can pass the 'mantle' fairly within and for good of all.

In the meantime, to access the Sanctuary and shape it's future, membership is a prerequisite.

What is membership?

Membership is first and foremost, a recognition of your involvement.
If you are a regular, participating poster, you will be regarded as a member.

What about fees or finances?

A fee is not currently required unless you are able to do so.
We are hopeful that other activities will replace the need for fees. We do have costs to cover and do so gladly.
Any fee or donation received goes to running the forum and the web server so we can develop a future here for people.
We run a specific Westpac bank account and keep records via Xero accounting.
We are annually audited with our self employment income including any fees received.

The administrator has paid for web server, software and security (HTTPS) licencing, office space and technical time. Directly and/or indirectly.

It is exceptionally rare for a person to host their own full servers, websites, domains, secure services, forum and not worry about costs. We are NOT rich. We have not won lotto. We are not on top of the income mountain. We are ordinary people living in an older 3-bedroom home in a small suburb of New Zealand with modest income. The only thing big about us is our dream to be of service. And we have big hearts.

We are the original NZ Spiritual Forum and internet based care centre born when there simply where no other's in New Zealand of its type. And we have been misunderstood more than once. We are still here because we were always one thing... honest... with our purpose.

Bless.
